Teresa Ellis

President, Western Division and Corporate Secretary

After a brief period consulting for DMA, Teresa joined the firm full time in 2011 to lead the brokerage practice. Teresa has more than 25 years of health care industry experience, including senior leadership roles with UnitedHealthcare and Regence BlueCross and Blue Shield in Utah. At Regence, Teresa was responsible for sales and retention and at UnitedHealthcare, she was in charge of creating large accounts business segments. Teresa also was instrumental in restructuring certain roles and responsibilities at Utah UnitedHealthcare, including separating the sales and account management functions.

DMA clients rely on Teresa to be an information resource and trusted advisor, simplifying the complex health care issues for their consideration and helping them explore their unique options and then settle on a clear plan of action. She also works with the other members of DMA’s leadership team to develop direction and new service areas for the firm.

Teresa graduated with honors from Westminster College with a business management degree. She is on the board of the Utah Association of Health Underwriters. Teresa has her health, life and disability license in 45 states and also holds a consultant’s license.

Teresa lives in Salt Lake City. She enjoys cooking, weight training, yoga and spending time with friends and family.
